Woods

There are forty-three state forests located in Saint Lawrence County. The county is located in northern New York on the border with Canada and along the St. Lawrence River. There are numerous places to hike and explore.
My husband went with his father at a very early age to hunt for the first time in one of these wooded areas, taking the old hunting dog.
Everything changes with time and now you see "posted" signs all over where it was free to hunt years ago.

  1. That is a lot of forests! It is interesting how things do change over time. Glad the forests didn't get developed for anything else though.

  2. So many people cut down trees and never replant in their place. Thankfully these places are preserved where that can't happen.

  3. That is a lot of forests. I thought we had a lot here. I'm glad the areas are preserved for future generations instead of being developed like what usually happens with everything in time.
