Once again I will show you two more pictures of where we are.
The kitchenette surprised me when I first saw it. The cabinets have dishes in them too but the pots and pans are not very clean. I swear people just love grease! You would think the cleaning woman would look at that too. Anyway I scrubbed and scrubbed on them but no dice. I just walked across the street to the dollar store and bought a few cheap pans to cook in. I used them for the first time last night and they really are not bad pans.
The headboard on this bed was hand carved. The mattress is so plush it is hard to get the king size sheets on them. I think that is very unusual for a Motel.

What a find!
When we got to Plattsburgh, New York for my hubbies job, our hotel reservation was booked wrong. No pets! We looked around that city for a very long time trying to find a place that was pet friendly. We found one other that is not even mention-able. So we decided I was going back home and he would have to drive 2 hours one way each day just to get to work. (The hotels were the same price for singles as well as double) Hubby didn't want to go without me. On our way our of that place about 20 miles from the city we stopped at a small place that advertised a Motel. We thought we would try. It was the best decision we have ever made! They say things happen for a reason so maybe that is why we couldn't find a place earlier. I will share a few photos with you. WE are in #3. It is a kitchenette. I will send more photos next time. (Internet is here as well as you can see. I have been calling my family through the Google Voice program. I have to go way outside to use the cell phone.) I was amazed by the inside of this place for being a country motel.

Off We Go!!!!
My husband travels from time to time for work. This area is barren. We got the call today for the next job. It is a little over two hours away this time. (The last one was 4 1/2.) Now I am in a panic to get things together and get on the road Sunday. Bright and early Monday Hubby starts his new job. The hotel we are staying at has WiFi so I am hoping everything works well where I can get on here still. I guess it is time to get back to my novel again. I have a really large cross-stitch picture I am working on of an angel also. The house cleaning never came to fruition. The woman I spoke of earlier sure has a monopoly on things.
I originally wasn't going to go with the hubby but we found out it is the same price for two people to stay as it is 1 in the hotel room. We have been married over 34 years now and the only time we have been apart was from the birth of our daughter and one trip to Texas many years ago. I can honestly say we love each others company. I found my soul mate.
More on this later and maybe even a few pictures.

What is wrong with the work force today?
I swear people get their jobs these days just turning on a faucet. They have no idea how to do their jobs! It is once again time for a vent session. Bear with me please.
My husband and I are struggling a bit right now but we make sure the bills are always paid on time no matter what. We try our best to keep our credit good. Now with that being said.....
For the last two days I have gotten a phone call telling me a payment was never received. Even though I put two checks into an envelope (one for my husbands account and another for my hubbies). They have both cleared the bank a week ago, They tell me they got the payment for my husbands account but not for mine. I have to show them proof that I sent the check to them. (remember I said, they already cashed it)
We live in the boonies and the bank is only open 3 days a week. So I now have to wait until tomorrow to go down and get a copy of the check to send to them. It usually takes a week to process anything. They are raising my bill now because they have no proof of payment.
Are we teaching idiots for these jobs? I talked to a supervisor too. She said not to send both payments in the same envelope even though they are due at the same time and go to the same place. (I have sent them in the same envelope for the past two years and never had any trouble until now) And I will continue to send it the same way.
What do you think?

Housecleaning
Most people when they hear the word "house cleaning" try to put it off for as long as they can. I guess I came from a different mold. I would rather clean house than cook or wash dishes or even do laundry. I know it is just rinse and repeat like anything else us ladies do each day but it is my favorite of all of the tasks. As I have said in an earlier post, I used to house clean years ago. Most of the clients I had are no longer alive. I did manage to contact one of them for a reference. The woman told me she would give me a glowing report and was glad to hear from me after all these years.
The location where we live is a very small community. They still call it a village instead of a town. The outskirts of this place is called a town so there are two different types of taxes. Even the bank here still have those steel bars in place in front of the tellers. Anyway now I am off the beaten track.
(Some day I will drag out pictures and post them on here)
One lady in the village has the monopoly on the house cleaning jobs. The first thing I did was to call her. She is no longer taking any new clients because she just can't handle any more people. (by the way, this is a tourist, retirement community). She was going to send the over flow to me. I did get one elderly couple that I went to see and set up an appointment to clean their two story home. Before the appointment got here she came by the house and rescheduled due to family coming for the Memorial Day weekend. Yesterday she was at my door again cancelling the cleaning job all together. Her husband is on hospice and after the confusion over the holiday he is not doing so well. Of course I understood and thanked her for letting me know. (Now I am back to no one again.) I re-called the gal that has the monopoly on the house cleaning. It was like I had talked to her for the first time. Sigh....
All I wanted to do was to make a little extra cash to help out. No telling what the future holds in this department in the future. More on this later I guess. By rereading this it looks like I was venting. I guess we all have to from time to time.
