Live Event!
The Evan William Bourbon St. Lawrence River Showdown starts Thursday, and anglers are already plying the river in search of their big catch.
The tournament runs from Thursday through Sunday, headquartered at Whittaker Park in the village.
Each day features Tastes and Talents of the North Country Festival vendors and specialty booths, crafters, artisans, food and wine producers, businesses and organizations, and “Angler’s Alley.” The Waddington Arena will house the Hawg Trough giant fish tank, Lawton’s mobile trout pond and kids’ fishing and a fishing simulator experience.
Other attractions each day include Ghost Rider Helicopters, a beer tent, bourbon sampling, bouncy houses for the kids, food vendors from early morning until closing, and a breakfast buffet at the American Legion from 7 to 11 a.m. Horse and carriage rides will be available Friday through Sunday.
Here is the full schedule for the week, which is subject to change. Stop by the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce booth for updates.
