Series Description:

The Gunsmoke TV show was a western action series that aired on CBS for 30 minutes during its first six seasons and then expanded to 60 minutes. It emphasized a rare commodity in the wild west ... law and order! Marshall Matt Dillon was responsible for bringing respect for the law to Dodge City. Cattle thieves, gunfighters and other bad guys had to seek out another place to get into trouble!

Series Description:

The F Troop TV show was a 30 minute situation comedy series on ABC about a Private who is given a field promotion to Captain and given command of Fort Courage. The problem is that he got his promotion and command because he accidentally "saved the day" when he led a cavalry charge in the wrong direction.

That pretty much continues to be the theme of the show throughout the series run. Captain Parmenter keeps goofing up and comes out smelling like a rose.

The show was actually developed for Donna Reed which accounts for the name.

The basic premise of the series involved people being filmed without their knowledge while being made the subject of a practical joke. Most of the situations happening. At the end of the joke, the host would come out, show the victim where the hidden camera was located and say, "Smile, you're on Candid Camera"!
